Dine with a difference for Spaxton School
FOOD lovers are invited to a dinner party with a difference next month to help raise funds for Spaxton School.
The school’s Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) has organised a ‘moveable feast’ to raise money to support a series of activities and initiatives for the school.
Participating cooks and diners will meet at The Lamb Inn in Spaxton at 7.15pm on February 2 to find out who they will cook for and where they will dine.
Chair of the PTFA, Rachel Burks, said: “The moveable feast is set to be a really fun evening and a great way to get to know fellow parents, villagers or neighbours.
“All you need to do is to get together in pairs or a foursome and we will organise the rest. You will stay in your foursome for the entire evening, but will mix with a different foursome for each course, before meeting with all diners and comparing notes at The Lamb Inn.”
Diners will move to their starter venue at 8pm, main course venue at 8.45pm and to a third person’s house for dessert at 9.45pm. Everybody will return to The Lamb at 10.30pm for a coffee and a nightcap.
For cooks and partners hosting a starter or dessert it is £7.50 each, for cooks and partners hosting a main course it is £5 each and for non-cooks and partners it is £20 each.
The closing date is Friday, January 25. Contact Ali Ingram on 01278 671 273 or email bridgwatercarpentryandjoinery@talktalk.net.
