BRIDGWATER College students Ryan Haysham, Josh Jones, Jordan Cozens, Keiran Redwood, Jack Lane and Brad Hayes are pictured at the back with children from Somerset Bridge Primary School.
A GROUP of Bridgwater College students taking the Level 2 Activity Leadership NVQ visited Somerset Bridge Primary School to teach youngsters how to referee football matches.
All 23 students on the coaching, teaching and instructing football diploma were assigned to pupils to offer guidance and support through football games.
Over a six-week period, the college students and pupils worked together to set and amend rules and then used them to play matches in small teams.
Andy Gill, tutor and assessor for the course, said: “It was a great opportunity for our students to visit the school and gain valuable experience. I would like to thank Somerset Bridge for showing confidence in our students and it is an exercise I hope we can repeat again in the future.''
