THE BOYS from Brymore School created Christmas hampers to dish out to 48 elderly Cannington residents.

The school took part in the ‘Smiles for Christmas’ campaign, designed to allow students the opportunity to give something back to the community.

Homes in Sedgemoor worked with the school to help the boys create something special for the elderly people, who live in supported accommodation in Cannington.

Lorraine Warren, marketing manager for the school, said: “Each Boarding House within the school competed to design, create and fill a Christmas hamper. All boys were expected to contribute to the house hamper – be that by gifts or spending time designing and making it.

“All three houses came up with a different theme and the overall winners were School House with a tractor design.”

Colleen Hayes, from Homes in Sedgemoor, added: “The school’s generosity was gratefully received by the supported housing residents in Cannington and the school is a credit the community.”
