Criminals forced to cough up

CRIMINALS are being hit in the pocket after being ordered to pay back more than £1.2million by the courts.

Since April, those jailed for drug, fraud and other offences have been ordered to pay out under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.

This included more than £0.6million in compensation to be paid to crime victims.
