THESE sure-footed students had double reason to celebrate after passing their AS exams at the same time as gaining their Grade 7 Royal Academy of Dance ballet certificates.
Bridgwater College students Jenny Shadrick, Phoebe Solomon, Zoe Vearncombe, Kathryn Dickinson, Marie Gibbs, Alice Todd and Azara Ingram worked hard to revise for exams whilst perfecting their dance skills under the guidance of Diane Turner at Bridgwater School of Ballet.
All seven achieved merit marks in their dance grades and will be hoping for further double successes next summer when they attempt to pass their A levels and Grade 8 certificates, which is the highest accolade amateur dancers can achieve.
Diane Turner, who has tutored the girls since they were toddlers, said: “It just shows how well they have been able to split their time and work towards their goals in both directions.
“They have used their time very well and now they have the results to show for it.”
