AN AWARDS evening for ex-Year Eleven students 2012 took place in Robert Blake Science College’s new school building.
Students and their families arrived early to have a tour of the new school before enjoying the awards ceremony.
Headteacher Ann Winter said: “They were all ‘bowled over’ by the new facilities.
“This year made history for the school, with the best results ever. Half of students achieved five A* to C grades with English and Maths - 99% A* to G grades.
“This, along with the move to the new school site, ensures 2012 will not just be remembered for the Jubilee or the Olympics.”
Mike Robbins, Principal at Bridgwater College, was the guest speaker and was impressed with the achievements of the youngsters.
Robert Blake will be holding an Open Day/Evening on Thursday, November, 29. Tours of the new school will take place at 9.15am, 11.30am, 2.15pm, 4.00pm and 6.00pm.
