WORLD trampolining medallist Laura Gallagher is encouraging people to take part in a 24-hour ‘bounce-a-thon’ in aid of Children in Need.
The Westonzoyland gymnast is supporting Get Britain Bouncing, which advocates safe trampolining, as it calls for clubs, schools and other organisations to take part in the event on Friday, November 16.
Martin Schofield, spokesperson for Get Britain Bouncing, said: “All people need to do to participate is hold their own bounceathon and tally up the time bounced by each person taking part in their event.
“Get Britain Bouncing will tally up the hours collectively bounced and the money raised following the event, and a certificate will be awarded to everyone who takes part.”
Laura, who is also a European medallist, will be helping with the campaign.
Children in Need aims provides grants to projects that focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged.
