POOR weather did not stop a Nether Stowey fundraiser from collecting £14,000 for a cancer ward.
Marion Evered held the Marion Evered Trust annual presentation meal last week for friends and supporters of the charity.
She said: “Despite many fundraising events being affected by the poor weather during the year, the Trust presented a cheque for £14,000 to Oak Ward at Musgrove Park Hospital to improve facilities for children suffering from cancer.”
Marion and members of the Trust thanked Windsor Catering for supplying a fantastic meal for the event.
