SCHOOLS in Bridgwater are invited to take part in the world's largest film festival for schools when it comes to Taunton this October.
Pupils will be among the young people going to the cinema free-of-charge during National Schools Film Week, which runs from October 15 to October 26. The festival's goal is to support classroom teaching by providing schools with a powerful experience for their students that links directly to elements of the curriculum - supported by an on-line library of resources related to individual films and more generic topics - essentially an extension of the classroom.
470,000 students and their teachers attended the festival nationwide in 2011.
Teachers can book free tickets for the event online at www.nationalschoolsfilmweek.org
