THE ever popular Blake Gardens Music Festival will end on Sunday, September 9.

The concerts, set in the beautiful surroundings of Blake Gardens, are organised by not-for-profit arts organisation Superact in association with Bridgwater Town Council, supported by Robson Electrics.

This year’s event will see some of the region’s finest bands performing, including Burtle Silver Band, Taunton Concert Band, Stoke sub Hamdon Band, Live ‘N’ Up, Chard Concert Brass and Weston Brass.

Overall there are six concerts this season, including the well-known Bandstand Marathon event, one of the largest closing events of the London 2012 Festival, which will see up to 500 concerts taking place nationwide, all on the same date between 1pm and 5pm.

Lucy Hather, Superact’s junior project manager, said: “We’re very excited about bringing audiences another year of excellent music and community spirit, so come along, relax and enjoy the free entertainment.”
