MUSIC lovers in Bridgwater will have an extra chance to see some top pop acts close to home after a major festival near Glastonbury was cancelled.
The Godney Gathering was due to take place at Godney Farm today but the recent wet weather has forced the organisers to change their plans.
The event, featuring The Hoosiers and The Subways, will now take place indoors at Junction 24 from 8pm.
Promoter Mike Davids said: “It’s a shame we’ve had to move from Glastonbury, but given the weather it’s the only sensible move.
“People who have tickets for the original event will still be able to use them, but we’re hoping that with the new location more people from the Bridgwater area will come along, too.”
The Hoosiers’ hits include toe-tappers ‘Goodbye Mr A’, ‘Cops and Robbers’ and ‘Worried About Ray’.
Tickets are available from Stings n’ Things in Bridgwater on 01278-427489 or by visiting www.thegodney gathering.com
