A SHOW based on vegetable cultivation and allotments may not seem like the obvious subject matter for comedy, but Can You Dig It? works.
The Xylophone Productions performance stars musical comedians and allotmenteers Jo Stepehnson and Dan Woods, who are familiar faces on London's comedy and cabaret scene - when they are not planting their spuds and carrots.
Accordion-wielding Dan had the audience chuckling with renditions such as Derreck the Evil Pigeon, Go Away John (about annoying allotment owners) and parodies of popular songs - but with a vegetable twist.
Jo entertained with her obsessive-sounding ode to Alan Titchmarsh and sporadic spurts of sprout-sponsored commercials.
The duet tackled subjects ranging from compost, to marrow theft to annoying allotment neighbours.
A night of songs about growing you own proved to be highly entertaining.
