A Night at the Musicals is a brilliant production by a talented cast. The Wessex Academy of Performing Arts put on an electrifying medley from shows such as We Will Rock You, Wicked, West Side Story, Les Miserables and Singing in Rain among others.

The cast displayed great diversity with a range of vocals and dance moves that wowed the audience. Some clapped, some cheered and the occasional audience member even whooped - particularly when Jersey Boys made an appearance.

There was the odd display of nerves and a technical glitch, but performers carried on like true troopers.

It was an entertaining and uplifting show, which was lapped up by avid music fans - with glimpses of old favourites and a taste of new musicals This was an energetic show by cast members who, in the early stages of their careers, are showing great promise. This is a performance that will rival any West End production for sheer enjoyment.
