WITH Burnham FolkFest getting ever closer, whet those musical tastebuds with a taster concerts at the Ritz Acoustic Club on September 2.

The FolkFest committee has confirmed a top evening of entertainment at the venue, headlined by The Dambuskers.

Featuring folk's wild man Steve Ruffe and fiddle virtuoso Chloe Watson, the band went down a storm in Manor Gardens at last year's FolkFest and should be explosive within the more intimate confines of the Ritz.

There are still some tickets left for FolkFest's grand opening concert at the Princess on Friday, September 3.

The headline act will be Show Of Hands - winners of Best Duo and Best Song at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards - who will be accompanied by Miranda Sykes.
