The Hamsters play Bridgwater tonight

4:17pm Thursday 4th March 2010

A POPULAR blues-rock trio will be delivering a set of original music and top covers at Bridgwater Arts Centre on Thursday.

The Hamsters - Slim, Rev Otis and Zsa Zsa - make a welcome return to the venue with their own brand of rootsy rock, blues and Americana.

After forming 23 years ago, the hard-working band have picked up an army of fans over thousands of live gigs.

Although primarily playing their own music, they are also widely regarded as the UK's leading interpreters of the music of guitar legends Jimi Hendrix and ZZ Top Members have performed with artists including Eric Clapton, Alison Moyet, Doctor Feelgood, Walter Trout and the late, great gentleman of British Blues, Alexis Korner.

The event starts at 8pm. Tickets are £16 on the door, or £14 in advance and £12 for members and concessions from the box office on 01278-422700.
