THERE may be a glimpse of stocking but anything goes at Bridgwater College's latest smash show.

The level 3 performing arts students are performing Thoroughly Modern Millie at The McMillan Theatre.

The musical, which has won six Tony Awards, is based on the 1967 Academy award-winning film of the same name.

The students will recreate the height of the jazz age in New York City, where a flapper named Millie Dillmount, enters the workforce and rewrites the rules of love.

Two students will play the central role of Millie on different dates.

Brittany Frampton, 18, from Bridgwater, said: “I have loved working on the show and it's been so much fun playing Millie Dillmount. She is passionate and determined and has given me a chance to stretch myself as a performer in singing, acting and dance.”

Ellis Roberts, 18, from Bridgwater, who will also appear in the role, added: "Playing Millie has been really enjoyable and I can't wait to perform again at The McMillan Theatre. It has made me determined to continue my studies in musical theatre."

The musical will run from June 8 – 10, at 7.30pm (with a 2.30pm matinee on June 10). Tickets cost £14 for adults and £10 for concession tickets and can be

purchased from www.mcmillantheatre.com, or the Box Office, in person, or by phone, Monday – Friday, 10am – 2pm, 01278 556677.
