SOMERSET'S trains and stations of yesteryear feature in a not to be missed event for all rail enthusiasts, at the Bridgwater Arts Centre.
Mike Beale will give an illustrated talk on the social history of the railways of Somerset and Dorset fifty years after they closed, focusing on the impact on local communities and the work of Somerset and Dorset Railway Trust in preserving the heritage of the railway which had forty-eight stops including Bridgwater.
In addition, artist, Kate McStraw, has put together an incredible memory museum of objects and oral history of the lines which will be on display.
Friday, June 3 at 7.30pm.
