Local music promoters Fuelled By Cider are hitting the ground running in 2016 with a gig every month at the Winchester Arms on Castle Green in Taunton.

Following the success of their initial events in 2015, including a sell-out for Gaz Brookfield and Funke & the Two Tone Baby in December, they have booked a host of exciting live acts and local supports of different styles.

Legendary West Country punks Citizen Fish are first up on January 29, supported by Atterkop from Bristol and local rabble-rousers 51st State.

On February 19 Taunton will feature on the UK tour circuit as rising Popes of Chillitown bring their high-tempo ska-punk sound to the Winch with local support acts to be confirmed.

A change of sound and flavour on March 11 - the sound being Scrumpy & Western and the flavour being fermented apples – as cider drinking festival favourites Skimmity Hitchers invade Taunton with their humorous songs and hoedown action. Support from hillbilly hip-hop weirdos The Inbredz.

April 29 sees another coup for the town as The Graveyard Johnnys headline a night of rockabilly, surf, garage and punk music with support from The Surfin' Birds and Taunton's own Palooka 5.

Advance tickets for all these events are available from the Winchester Arms, Blackcat Records and online at www.fuelledbycider.com.

Kev Davis from Fuelled By Cider said: “The success of last year's gigs shows that Taunton has an appetite for quality live music and we hope that more people will come along in 2016 and help build a strong and rocking scene.”
