NEVER having seen the Viva la Diva Showgirls in action, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. The audience was the first surprise - there were more females than men and also lots of couples from 18 (the minimum age) through to pensioners.

When the Diva girls came on stage, the audience almost gave them a standing ovation. They performed a wide variety of dances, from a 1920s Charlston to a number from Chicago to a Bollywood mix, with an energetic Can Can to finish.

Costumes were outstanding as was the choreography - these dancers know how to connect with the audience and never lost a step or a smile during the whole performance.

The three burlesque dancers who performed in between, were a little more risque, hence the over-18 tag. As for the compere, Miss Cherry, she, like the Diva girls, should be on national TV.
