CELEBRITY chef Mary Berry and pop icon Toyah Wilcox are just two of the big names who have already appeared at Bridgwater’s newest performance space, the McMillan Theatre.

Now the local community is being invited to attend a free Open Day on Saturday October 31, 10am – 3pm to see what this amazing venue has to offer.

There will be tours of the multi-million pound complex, which includes an auditorium space, orchestra pit, control room, fully sprung dance studio, changing rooms, bar and conference facilities.

There will also be interactive activities going on throughout the day for visitors to watch and get involved in.

As the only theatre space of its size and type in the local area, the McMillan Theatre will play host to professional and community performances as well as college productions, conferences and art exhibitions.

Anthony Bruton, Theatre Manager said: “It is my pleasure to invite and welcome you to the newest theatre venue in the South West – The McMillan Theatre. Having previously managed The Arc Theatre in Trowbridge, I am thrilled to be taking on the new challenge and being entrusted to lead this magnificent facility for Bridgwater College, its students and the wider community.”
