WELL-KNOWN West Country artist, Alan Ward holds his second annual exhibition at the Community Centre in Burnham.
Alan has been a professional artist for nearly thirty years and up until recently was a member of the Guild of Railway Artists and the renowned Bristol Savages. After formal art school and college training, his early career years were spent in the advertising, marketing and public relations industries.
Apart from occasional teaching and demonstration work with the regions art groups, he now specialises in wildlife, marine landscapes and portraiture.
Much of the area’s industrial past is also reflected in painting reconstructions of the Somerset and Dorset Railway’s steam and marine activities, from the thirties up the closure of this famous railway in 1966.
Saturday September 26 and Sunday September 27. 10am - 4pm.
