IT gives a whole new meaning to beer shampoo - but what a way to wash your hair.

The start of September can only mean one thing, the barrels are ready to roll and it’s time for the 15th Wedmore Real Ale Festival

Along with over 60 different fine ales and various ciders and wines, there are a host of great bands and DJs to entertain and lure you onto the dance floor over the weekend.

Paul Dockerty and Dry White Bones will be performing on the Friday night, and throughout the Saturday afternoon, it will be the turn of local talent, Sam Rasmussen, Sam Patten, Jo Hill & Chris Hawkes and B.E_Cooling.

This year the festival will be running during the Rugby World Cup, with the majority of matches playing over the weekend being available on the big screen.

Last year’s festival finale featured the first ever Beer Bucket Challenge, which involved all the festival organisers and auctioneer Alan Wilcox getting soaked by vast quantities of cold beer raising a whopping £460 for local causes.

New MP, James Heappey, will be among those getting doused this time - worth the ticket price itself.

Evening admission to the festival is £5 per person, which will include a 2015 festival pint glass to take away and a free half pint to drink.
