JUST when you thought it was safe to cut the grass, the British Lawn Mower Racing Association revs up for another unique family event.

If you’ve never experienced people racing lawn mowers, you are in for a treat. In addition, there are a number of other activities including a classic car show, a beer festival and live music.

It all promises to be an August Bank Holiday to remember, starting on Saturday August 29 and running through to Monday August 31 at Cross north of Bridgwater.

It all promises to be an August Bank Holiday to remember, running from August 29 to August 31 at Cross, north of Bridgwater.

Headline bands will play on Saturday and Sunday night until 10pm after family activities wind down around 6pm.

Despite offering more this year for kids and adults alike, the ticket price is still low at £10 for the whole weekend and £5 for the day. Tickets are available on the gate and under 14s entry is free and all proceeds go to charity.

Activities will include favourites from last year like Segways, mud buggies and bouncy castle but with more than a few added extras. The Beer Festival is provided by The New Inn, Cross.
