BRIDGWATER Arts Centre has teamed up with community charity Sustrans to bring you an enriching walk celebrating new developments to the Bridgwater community of Hamp.

If you love a stroll and are interested in Bridgwater’s developments, creative design or public art, then this is the perfect walk for you. The aim of this walk is to help change the wider Bridgwater perception of Hamp, as well as show people the exciting new work Sustrans have been doing.

The three-mile walk will take you past the scenic area of Browns Pond and around Hamp with a timely refreshment stop at the café in the centre of Hamp for tea and cakes.

The focus of this walk is to explain what Sustrans have been working on in the community over the past two years.

This includes Community Street redesign, community arts elements, their work with schools and viewing Sustrans’ beautiful new murals.

Georgie from Sustrans said: “Sustrans are excited to be teaming up with BAC on this BACWalk.

“After two years working in the community of Hamp, we want to let more people hear about the creativity that is alive in the Hamp community.”

Sustrans has helped thousands of people in the UK to lead healthier lifestyles, having worked with communities, policy- makers and partner organisations to enable people to have healthier, cleaner and cheaper journeys and enjoy better, safer spaces where they live.

All over the UK, Sustrans are make a positive difference to people's lives, helping them build communities and redesign their streets.
