PANTOMIME will be returning to the village of Combwich for the first time in 20 years when the newly-formed Harbour View Players present Red Riding Hood at Otterhampton Village Hall on Friday and Saturday, January 23 and 24, at 7.30pm, with an additional Saturday matinee performance at 2.30pm.

Written and directed by professional actor, director and playwright Chris Ponka, this traditional family panto-mime promises to be filled with laughs from the word go.

The talented bunch of locals have been rehearsing hard for the past couple of months.

Chris said: “I can honestly say that I have been incredibly impressed with the entire cast as this is the first time any of them will have appeared on stage.

“When we moved to the village in August of 2013, I didn’t realise Comb-wich had such a wealth of talent.

“Their dedication and enthusiasm has been outstanding!”

Last year, Chris had his latest play, ‘The Shadow Of The Ghost’, produced at both the Theatre Royals in Nottingham and Windsor.

As an actor, Chris has also starred as Dame alongside celebrities such as Keith Chegwin, Tom O’Connor, Paul Shane and Barry McGuigan but is mostly looking forward to watching Combwich's talented locals take to the stage.

Richard Navoy makes a brilliant Dame Hardcrust whilst Andy Turnbull is a Regal King Rulemwell with his daughter Charlotte in the title role of Red Riding Hood.

Other cast members include Murray Lister, Ian Newbury, Larry Mild, Barry Bitter, Carly Hill, Dave Catchpole, Dan Webber, Suzanne Salway, Debbie Stimp-son, Martin Rackham, Grace Bennett and special guest appearance by Matt Nicklin of the Combwich Anchor.

Tickets are priced at £3 for adults and £2 for children/ concessions and are on sale at Combwich Post Office, Harbour View Social Club and the Combwich Anchor.
