ARE you a budding scriptwriter? Then this is an opportunity for you.
Somerset Film is holding its first-ever scriptwriting competition for writers from Somerset.
The winning script will be selected by a judging panel and the writer will receive an award for Best Short Script Laurels.
The script will also be considered for production by Somerset Film in 2015 and inclusion on the Reel Somerset DVD, which is distributed to over 150 film societies.
Entries must be a fictional short film script and a maximum of ten minutes in duration.
Scripts written by amateurs, professionals and all ages are welcome.

The winning script will be announced on February 26, 2015.
The Engine Room is also holding a scriptwriting course with professional TV and film writer Richard Addison on November 15.
The scriptwriting competition entry fee will be waived for those taking part in this workshop.
