A WEDDING fair to help couples living with terminal illness celebrate their big day heads to Bridgwater this autumn to raise money for the cause.

Naomi Thomas, 31, of Wellington, has secondary breast cancer and founded The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation in 2012.

She was diagnosed at the age of 26, just days after Graham, the “love of her life”, now 34, had proposed.

After seven months of treatment, Naomi was declared cancer-free. A few months later, and now mum to newborn son Devon, she was told the disease was back, and no longer curable.

Not knowing how long she has left to live, and determined to spread the joy she had been lucky enough to experience on her big day, Naomi threw herself into setting up her foundation.

WWWF organises and funds weddings for those affected by terminal and life-limiting illnesses, to help them enjoy married life before it's too late.

So far 14 couples have benefitted, and in 2013 the Daily Mail crowned her its inspirational woman of the year.

The fair, which takes place on Sunday September 21 in Bridgwater’s Blake Hall, is a collaborative effort between the Foundation and Griffens Carnival Club.

It will run from 11am until 3pm at the Blake Hall in Bridgwater, at £1 admission. Visitors will get a free goodie bag.
