TWO nights of cabaret hopes to get one bright-eyed Bridgwater performer another big step towards his drama school dreams.

Bridgwater College student Harry Winchester has been offered a place at the world-acclaimed Arts Educational Schools in London but needs to raise £15,000 to fund his way to the private college.

Friday’s performance is now sold out, with limited tickets up for grabs to see the vibrant mix of showtunes, rock and pop.

Harry tells the Mercury: “It’s shaping up really well for the cabaret.

“I’m hoping to raise about £5,000 from the evening – I’ve already received £4,000 from private donations – and I’ve also just got a job doing front of house at Wicked! The musical in the Apollo Victoria in London.”

Harry’s contacts from the performing arts worlds of Bridgwater and London will strut their stuff at his two ‘Music of the Night’ concerts on Friday and Saturday.

Ticket-holders will see Sally Williams Dancers, the Lola Fisher Academy of Dance and vocal talents Phoebe Fisher, Stuart Rouse, Ben Filler, Lauren Ingram, Pulse, Caitlin Faulks, and Kat Stevens in action.

Harry himself will perform ‘Bring Him Home’ from Les Miserables, and ‘On The Street Where You Live’ from My Fair Lady, on the night.

Not forgetting singers Ashley Quinn, Jude Roberts, Molly Bird and Kirby Warren.

Both concerts start at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10, call 07748-978286 or email helpingharry@hotmail.com
