HISTORIC scenes from Highbridge and Burnham are among 60 never-before-seen photographs currently on show at the Museum of Somerset in central Taunton.
“In the Frame: Somerset in Historic Photographs” gives an insight into 150 years of county life.
The collection of images spans themes such as work, family, childhood, man, beast and transport while also reflecting on the role of photography in people’s lives.
The images are presented in such a way as to present stark contrasts.
Visitors will also get to try on costumes and use props to put themselves ‘in the frame’.
In The Frame is open from 10am to 5pm, Tuesday to Saturday, until Wednesday, July 9.
