THE latest concert in the Music on the Levels series was a heavenly delight by the young and very talented Welsh Harpist Elen Hydref.
Elen has won countless awards both in the UK and internationally and she delighted the audience at St Mary’s Church, Westonzoyland, on May 17 with music by six composers, ending with a beautiful arrangement from a well-known piece by Tchaikovsky.
In the interval wine and soft drinks were served, along with a fantastic selection of delicious canapes, thanks to Celia Smith and Ruth Marks, not forgetting Ann Rawnsley’s famous cheese straws.
If you haven’t attended one of these concerts yet then you have missed some real treats as there is always something for everyone.
The next concert is on the afternoon of Sunday, July 27, when the famous Burtle Silver Band will be entertaining us and cream teas will be served, so book it in your diary now. Tickets are £7 including refreshments.
