A STREET BUSKER who dropped out of school to become an EMI-signed artist plays live in Bridgwater on Friday.
Patrick Duff (pictured) was born in Bristol to an Irish father and Welsh mother, and is formerly the lead singer of alt-rockers Strange-love. His influences are said to range from Disney sound-tracks to Johnny Cash.
His third solo album, ‘Visions of the Underworld’, released in August, was recorded in the Dartmoor hills at Lower Merripit Cottage – the songs of which he’ll showcase at BAC.
A free “wild and unplugged” Dartmoor performance is also in the pipeline for Duff – visit 79.170.44.157/patrickduff.com for the latest.
Tickets cost £8 in advance on bridgwaterartscentre.co.uk or 01278-422700, or on £10 on the doors, which open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
