FAMILIES can get a spring in their step with the Bridgwater 10K on Sunday, April 6.
It heralds the start of the 1610 Leisure 2014 triathlon and 10K race series for endurance athletes across the South West.
The Bridgwater 10K, now in its third year, is a popular event on the racing calendar as it has a flat course which is ideal for novice runners as well as seasoned athletes.
It will start at 10am from Trinity Sports & Leisure Centre in Bridgwater, with the one lap leading runners on country roads.
The 10K and race series is being organised in partnership between 1610 and Total Buzz Events, supported by Tony Pryce Sports which is supplying ‘goody bags’ for race competitors.
There will be a free shuttle bus service running from Northgate Car Park, provided by the Sedgemoor Community Transport Service.
Donations can be made to Macmillan Cancer Support, 1610’s Charity of the Year – for details call 01278-429119.
