MODERN jazz infused with Motown, funk, gospel and bebop arrives with Night Train at Taunton’s Creative Innovation Centre next Thursday, January 30.
The homegrown quartet, fronted by saxophonist Tim Hill, right, is the second act in CICCIC’s new jazz night series. The ‘Train features up and coming talents Ben Modley (guitar), Sean Davies (bass) and Ian Evans (drums).
Musician and composer Tim has been musical director for Welfare State International, Cirque Bijou, Liverpool Lantern Company and Salisbury Festival, and also runs bands Tongues of Fire, community band, the Big Noise, and outdoor performance group Rag and Bone.
The gig runs from 7.30pm to 10.30pm at CICCIC, the venue with the lime green door in Paul Street, and entry costs £6.50 (£5 for over-60s and students with proof of ID).
