A BEATBOXER from Somerset has found himself supporting boy band Blue at their Bridgwater concert on Friday.

Dominic Buck, 21 from Wellington, has beatboxed since childhood, “busting out childish raspberries and machine gun noises”, and is a member of band Triple Threat.

Triple Threat will also support Lee Ryan, Duncan James, Antony Costa and Simon Webbe in Yeovil on Saturday.

Dominic said: “Only five years ago I was beatboxing at my full-time job, in the shower, the odd open mic, and now I’ll be featuring live on stage supporting one of the most popular boy bands!

“It feels quite surreal, to be honest.

“The closest I’d have got to them is a poster or CD, so to say we'll be chilling in the green room together is mental! Not to mention we've supported Britain’s Got Talent’s Luminites and Alexandra Burke. And to think the gigs are so close to home.

"It's a privilege to support them, and of course my family is impressed and very proud.”

Standard tickets to see Blue in Bridgwater are now sold out. However tickets to see Blue at Yeovil’s Westland Conference and Leisure Complex, priced £32, are still available at www.westlandonline.co.uk or on 01935-848380.
