NORTH Petherton acoustic group The Thatchers have been confirmed as the opening act at the Godney Gathering in Glastonbury on Saturday, July 19.

The cidery, foot-stomping band, who include father and daughter Henry and Jessica Dyer, follow in the footsteps of Reef, along with The Subways, Toploader, The Hoosiers and The Blockheads, playing the main stage at the Gathering.

The volunteer-run Godney Gathering is run by a full team of volunteers, supporting various local clubs and organisations, as well as donating to national charities.

Tier one tickets for the day event go on sale on Saturday, March 1, at £18.
