DOING porridge on December 25 would be enough to make anyone lose their festive appetite.

‘Christmas. Time’, a festive comedy from Near-ta Theatre, follows Charlie and Toby, two prison in-mates dead set on reviving their festive spirit despite being holed up at her Majesty’s pleasure.

The musical show comes to Bridgwater Arts Centre on Friday for a feast of Dickens, pantomime, musicals, Christmas dinner, songs, snowmen and festive film.

Performed by show-writer Daniel Richards and Lewis Howard, and directed by Simon Harvey (o-region, Kneehigh) Christmas. Time is a comic caper suitable for all the family.

Tickets cost £10/£8, and the performance starts at 8pm.
