COMPOSER-choirmaster Mark Whitford-Williams scored a sell out success at the Tacchi-Morris Theatre on December 14 with his show South West Rocks at Christmas.

The combined forces of Bridgwater, Bristol and Taunton Rock Show Choruses told his heart-warming story of Ruke and Aelra, the Romeo and Juliet of the turkey world at the centre of the show, 'Just for Tonight - the Night the Turkeys Flew'.

A new star was born in Angus Russell who narrated the story, with what audience members described as 'a liquid chocolate voice'.

This is Angus', an operations director for Brittania Lanes of Somerset, first foray into show business.

He was ably supported by Claire Baker, whose sweet and beautiful soprano voice has graced the South West in recent years, and Ellie Launders-Brown, soprano from Wells Voluntary Choir.

The second half of the show was a Christmas party with the audience joining in the best Christmas songs from recent years.

A wonderful way to start the Christmas season and a good time was had by all.
