CURRY fans can ditch the take-aways for a cookery course and learn how to make their favourite Indian dishes from scratch in Bridgwater this December.
On Somerset Curry Club’s diverse new two-week Indian cooking course, foodies will learn how to make mouthwatering dishes such as biryani, daal, korma and tikka, along with traditional accompaniments, such as samosas, bhajis and naans.
The first class runs 10am to 1pm on Saturday at Robert Blake and Elmwood School, and will focus on vegetarian and meat party snacks and chutneys.
The £90 place includes six hours’ expert tuition, a box of spices and top-notch ingreidents, with a takeaway box and recipe cards so you can re-create what you’ve learned in class in your own kitchen.
The course has been funded by a pump-priming grant from Futures for Somerset in partnership with Bridgwater YMCA.
