A RARE acoustic night with ITV X Factor winner Matt Cardle is being held at Bridgwater’s Blake Hall on Friday.
The former busker, who, it’s said, loves to quote Alan Partridge, was crowned champion of Simon Cowell’s industry-dominating talent show in 2010 after years spent as a struggling musician.
The intimate Blake Hall concert acts as a warm-up for his forthcoming 2014 tour of “diverse” new album, Porcelain.
On it, Cardle has collaborated with ex-Jamiroquai writer-producer Toby Smith, and 16-times Grammy Award nominee Brian McKnight for a soulful rock record with “bluesy attitude” and lyrics to relate to.
Tickets to see Matt Cardle live in Bridgwater are £17.50 from the venue, Strings ’n’ Things, the Castle Club or www.seetickets.com – the doors open at 7.30pm.
