Bare Bones gear up for North Petherton gig
9:00am Friday 13th September 2013 in What's On
AWARD-WINNING restaurant Clavelshay Barn of North Petherton is hosting a live music evening with Bare Bones (pictured) on Thursday, September 19, from 7.30pm.
The acoustic trio are to perform two sets in the converted stone barn; a restaurant nestled in the heart of a family-run dairy farm on the Quantock hills.
Sue Milverton, co-owner of Clavelshay Barn, said: “The trio has performed at the barn before and is already extremely popular with our customers.
“We all really enjoy its style of music and the members are extremely passionate about what they do.”
Bare Bones, based in Bridgwater, have developed an innovative sound as drummer and percussionist Kevin Horner’s driving beats fuse effortlessly with delicate bass lines and harmonies provided by Martin Tong.
Vocalist Andy Doran completes the band’s sound with the strum of his acoustic guitar.
Speaking of the evening, Andy said: “We are thrilled to be playing at the barn for the third time this year. It is such a great live music venue and the audience are always very appreciative of new music.
“We hope lots of people come along on the night to check us out.”
Entry is free with drinks and a farmer’s platter purchasable on the night for £12.50 per person.
For enquiries or to book the platter, call the restaurant on 01278-662629.
