EXMOOR artist Elizabeth Day is bringing her unique life drawing classes to Kingston St Mary village hall this spring.
The course, starting on March 11, will cover all fundamental aspects of animal painting, focusing on dogs, with a different breed visiting the class each week.
Elizabeth, who first discovered her love of art as a student at West Somerset School, said: “I’m trying to wean people off photographs because their work has become very photographic and, as a result, they are losing their individual style.”
“The classes will teach techniques of measuring because once you get that right the lines start to become more fluid.”
In the summer Elizabeth will move her classes outdoors so her students can paint around the beautiful Quantock Hills.
Classes are on Mondays from 1pm to 3.30pm and 3.30pm to 6pm, and cost £15 per session. Refreshments are included.
