The new trio of Dragons’ Den entrepreneurs are staying tight-lipped about how much they are worth.
In interviews with the Radio Times Magazine, the new line-up – which features Touker Suleyman, Sarah Willingham and Nick Jenkins – refused to divulge any specifics on their personal fortunes.
When asked how much he was worth, Touker, who owns fashion brands Ghost and Hawes & Curtis, replied: “I don’t know.”
Prompted with the Sunday Times Rich List’s estimate of £150m, he said: “It depends how they value it. It changes every day.”
One finance statistic he was willing to divulge was that he had bought Hawes & Curtis for a pound, and it is now worth nearly £30m.
Bombay Bicycle Club restaurant founder Sarah, replied to questions about her worth by saying: “I think it’s vulgar to discuss actual figures. Enough to be free to make the decisions to control my life.”
Nick, who is the founder of greeting card website Moonpig.com, replied “Quite enough” when quizzed.
The Sunday Times Rich List has his worth at £45m, but he did not confirm this.
The three new members join existing Dragons’ Den experts, Peter Jones and Deborah Meaden.
The 13th series of the show starts this month on BBC Two.
