Nicole Scherzinger has revealed she aims to become the US version of Ant and Dec with her new TV show Best Time Ever.

The former Pussycat Doll and X Factor judge will co-host the family entertainment show with How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris and the format is based on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. It launches on NBC on September 15.

Nicole revealed: “I’m really excited about it. Saturday Night Takeaway is such a great show, Ant and Dec’s chemistry is just genius. It’s going to be a lot of fun to bring it to the States.

“I’m going to have a lot of fun with Neil. He’s lovely, He’s a bit like me, we come from the same background, we both come from the stage. I met him when he directed me in Rent at the Hollywood Bowl.

“We both love to good around and have fun, but we’re both perfectionists and very hard working.”

The 37-year-old singer recently posted a spoof video on Instagram reacting to rumours that she was dating 24-year-old Ed Sheeran.

Nicole could be seen lip-syncing to Ed’s power ballad Thinking Out Loud in the clip which she captioned, “Totally Emotional that @teddysphotos and I broke up today.”

She said of the rumours: “You can’t take it too serious, you have to have fun with it. Ed’s a good mate and we take the mick out of each other, so I was just goofing around having fun.”

Nicole is also set to appear on new panel show Bring The Noise on Sky1.

Just as the BBC announced the end of Never Mind The Buzzcocks after almost 20 years, Sky has revealed Ricky Wilson is to host a new music/comedy show with Nicole Scherzinger and Tinie Tempah as team captains, and comedian Katherine Ryan as a regular panellist.

Nicole said: “It’s going to be a really fun variety of music and trivia so I’m just down to have a good time on that.”
