Tomorrowland star Britt Robertson has admitted she was a little nervous about being driven around by 13-year-old co-star Raffey Cassidy.

The British teenager plays robot Athena in the new Disney movie, and had driving lessons before she took the wheel.

But Britt confessed: “Luckily they gave her some driving lessons, but I was like, first of all she’s from Manchester, this girl doesn’t know how to drive on the right side of the road. We’ve got to get her some serious lessons if she’s going to be driving me and George.

“Who cares about me, we’ve got George Clooney in the car! He’s a hot commodity!”

But Raffey admitted she loved learning to drive for the film.

She said: “It was fun, I had driving lessons and afterwards I was like ‘I can actually drive’, and now I have the urge to just sit behind a steering wheel!”

Raffey revealed she also did three months of gymnastics, swimming and martial arts training for the fight scenes, and Britt, 25, was intimidated by how good she was.

Britt said: “Raffey had to do much more than I did, I was always wimping out, doing my little moves, and she was like ‘pow’, never crying at all and I was just a total pain.”

Tomorrowland: A World Beyond opens in cinemas on May 22.
