Madonnas past and present were united as three versions of the queen of pop stood side by side.

Bosses at London's Madame Tussauds showed off the trio of Material Girls which have each been newly created and will be displayed together for three weeks.

As well as the look she has been showing off for her MDNA tour, new figures have been created in her past guises from her Sticky And Sweet era and her Like A Virgin image.

Two of the wax models will go on to take up residence at a new Madame Tussauds venue in Tokyo in March 2013.

Dancers Bly Richards, Phoenix and B-Boy Mouse - who have all worked with Madonna - were on hand to launch the figures.

Phoenix said: "It's extraordinary how accurate the detail is, even up close."

A spokeswoman for Madame Tussauds said: "This is the first time we have ever launched three different figures of one performer here at Madame Tussauds London, so it's a very special event."

The MDNA figure - wearing a fitted pin-striped trouser suit with a black leather corset - will stay in London, but the other two will be on display until January 3 before heading east.
