Glastonbury 2011: Rappers wow rain-soaked crowds

First published in Glastonbury by

LEGENDARY rap troupe Wu-Tang Clan wowed the crowds as they performed at the rain soaked Glastonbury Festival this afternoon.

The hip-hop heroes produced a scintillating display on the Pyramid Stage in front of thousands of pop fans.

Earlier this morning, quirky indie dance act Metronomy’s infectious beats added to the party atmosphere before exciting Northern Irish four-piece Two Door Cinema Club unleashed their incredibly catchy brand of sing-a-long pop.

The site remains extremely muddy and weather forecasters predict more rain is on its way this evening.

As Friday progresses, fans are eagerly awaiting the first headlining performance of the weekend as rockstars U2 take to the Pyramid Stage tonight for what is sure to be a performance of stratospheric proportions.

Acts such as Cee-Lo Green, Chase and Status, Mumford and Sons and dance DJ Annie Mac are all set to perform in front of thousands across the various stages today.
