THE 2012 Exeter Festival of South West Food and Drink starts today and runs until Sunday (April 15).

This year's line-up includes more than 30 of the region's best known names and excellent showmen including a seafood masterclass from two star Michelin chef Nathan Outlaw and BBC Saturday Kitchen favourite Mitch Tonks.

Visitors can also expect demonstrations from Masterchef winners Dhruv Baker, Mat Follas, James Nathan and Steve Groves alongside TV chef Tristan Welch, a vegetarian masterclass from Masterchef semi-finalist Jackie Kearney and showcases from celebrity TV chef Lesley Waters.

The three-day festival is also a great chance to buy the finest produce from over a hundred regional producers in two huge food pavilions.

The event takes place at Exeter Castle and Northernhay Gardens from 10am to 6pm (5pm Sunday).

A day entry pass costs £7.50 per adult and £1 per child under 16-years-old and is free for children under five-years-old. A weekend pass for the entire festival costs £15 per adult and £3 per child.
