SARAH Class is helping to save tropical forests through her album released earlier this year.
A New Dawn, her excellent album, is available to buy at Rise Records, in Bristol. If you haven't yet got the album visit the Rise Records or Sarah’s own websites.
At the moment the album is at the special price of £7 and £1 of every sale goes to the World Land Trust. Sarah is also planning to stage a concert with other local singers/songwriters later in the year for the Trust.
She has also just received her first certificate from Trust for her first donation of proceeds from A New Dawn. “A massive thank-you all who have bought this album,” Sarah told the Gazette. “Currently your donations are funding the purchase of tropical forests in Brazil, Ecuador and Argentina as well as Pantanal wetlands and Dry Chaco in Paraguay. I'm hoping to reach a specific target of sales to buy up and protect a lot more land by the end of the year.”
For those of you who are interested in being involved in WLT's ‘Buy an Acre’ fund - check out their website at worldlandtrust.org.
Sarah is pictured singing in Turkish at the Istanbul City of Culture Festival of Turkish Songs recently.
