This picture found a new home in Wiltshire after a commission bidder provided the largest bid, which was also the top price of the day.

A  Snaffles colour print with vignette entitled “The D.R.” sold to a net bidder for £530. It was among nine works by the artist, which collectively made nearly £3,000.

An oil on canvas featuring Derby winners Monkton and Snow Knight, signed and dated by the artist Jack Lawrence Miller fetched £530.

A heavy cast and painted whip/hat rack was another good seller. It made £470.
