A MG TC, the like of which was a favourite of WWII fighter pilots, is one of the star cars in the Charterhouse sale of classic and vintage cars on Wednesday, April 12.

“This rare little MG has been subject to a full restoration by the owner over a 10 year period after he imported the car from the USA in 2006.” Commented Matthew Whitney. “There were 10,001 MG TCs made between 1945 and 1950 with many being exported to the USA despite being made only in right hand drive, and this beautifully presented MG is only for sale as its Somerset owner is moving to Shropshire.”

Made to be exported to the USA in 1948, this MG TC has undergone a body off restoration. During the 10 year restoration, it received a new ash frame, the original engine was restored, and it was repainted in a light blue with a faun leather interior installed.

Now ready for some summer fun, this charming piece of British motoring history is estimated at £28,000-32,000.
